Julia’s training encompasses an undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria, a one-year study of Shiatsu massage, and three years at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, BC (2009). After graduating she studied with the late Grandmaster of acupuncture, Dr. Richard Tehfu Tan from whom she learned the Balance method which is rooted in a long lineage of ancient, authentic Chinese medicine teachings and texts such as the Nei Jing. The balance method works with both channels and meridians and is well known for achieving rapid results. It is one of the most effective and efficient acupuncture methods for treating pain.
